Interpretation.--

In this Act,-- (a) VII of 1913.--"banking company" means a banking company an defined in Section 277-F of the Indian Companies Act, 1913; (b) "branch" includes any sub-office, pay-office, sub-pay-office and any place of business of a, banking company at which deposits are received, cheques cashed or moneys lent; (c) VII of 1913.--the expression "officer" has the meaning assigned to it in the Indian Companies Act, 1913; (d) "Reserve Bank" means the Reserve Bank of India.
