Limit of land to be assigned.

(1) The extent of land that may be assigned in favour of colonist or occupant shall be the actual extent of land originally allotted to or held by him/her from the colony at the time of settlement. In the case of the authorised occupation the extent in excess of the maximum limit shall be assigned on the merits of each case. (2) In the case of encroachers the provisions in the Kerala Land Assignment Rules, 1964 shall be followed.
