Whoever intimidates a person identifying, calling, stigmatising, defaming or accusing him/her a witch and does any act leading or compelling the person to commit suicide shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which shall not be less than seven years but which may extend to imprisonment for life and with fine which shall not be less than Rs. 1,00,000/- but which may extend to Rs. 5,00,000/- Punishment for use of criminal force identifying, calling etc. as witch.
