[Received the assent of the Governor on the 25th March 1942] [Published in the Jud??; Gatef/f of the 1st April 1942] An Act to amend the Assam (Temporarily Settled Districts') Tenancy Act, 1935 Whereas it is expedient to amend the Assam Ass am -A ct , (Temporarily Settled Districts) Tenancy Act, III o f 1935. 1935, in the manner hereinafter appearing ; And whereas the Governor of Assam, has assumed to himself under the Proclam ation dated the 25th December 1941 issued by him under 26 Geo . 5, section 93 of the" Government of India Act, Ch. 2. 1935, all powers vested by or under the said Act in the Provincial Legislature ; Now, therefore, in exercise o f the said powers, the Governor of Assam is pleased to make the following A ct :—
