(_I) Any ru~es made, any h ab1ht~ mcurred. any xr_n of acts done. tax levied or realised, any returns furmshed. any pro- 19.J4. ceedings commenced, any notification published. any action taken or anything whatsoever done under the provisions of the Act repealed, shall be deemed to have been made, incurred, levied realised. furnished. commenced, published, taken or done under the cor- responding provisions of this Act. (2) Notwithstanding anything contained in any judgement. decree or order of any court. a]] taxes im- posed or realised or purporting to have been imposed or realised under the Act repealed shall for all purposes be dee1!1ed to be, and to have been, validly imposed or realised and accordingly- (a) no suit or other proceeding shall be main· tained or continued in any court against the Government or any person or authority whatsoever for the refund of any taxes so paid; and (b; n~ col!rt shall enforce any decree or order drrectmg the refund! of any taxes so paid.
