Short title. (I) This Act may be called the Assam Students and Juvenile Smoking Act, 1923. (2) It extends to the whole of Assam : Providt>d that the State Government may, from time to time, by notifi· cation in the official Gazette exempt any locality or localities from the operation of this Act. (3) It shall come into force on the first day of January nineteen hundred and twenty-four.
