(1). The Chairman and every other member (not being an ex-officio member) shall hold office for a period of three years from the date of his appointment as Chairman or other member, as the case may be : Provided that the State Government may extend the said period by a further period not exceeding one year: Provided further that after the expiry of the period of his appointment a person shall be eligible for re-appointment as Chairman or member : Pr.ovided further that no person shall be appointed as Chairman for more than three consecutive terms. (2) Every member shall receive such allowances as may be prescribed. (~) The Chairman may hold office in an honorary c<ipac1ty or on payment of remuneration. If any r .. . Vec;:ancy of a mem- ber.
