(1) The name of the posts and the numbers thereof shall be as par Schedule appended to this Act: Provided that any further creation of posts of officers or any other employees, the prior approval of the State Government shall be necessary if such creation of posts casts additional financial burden on the State exchequer. (2) Notwithstanding anything contained in this Act, the University shall obtain prior approval of the State Government for. - (a) revision of pay, allowances, retirement benefits or any other benefit of its officers, teachers and other employees, (b) granting any special pay. allowance or any other extra remuneration, including ex -gratia payment or any other benefit involving financial implications, to any of its officer, teacher or other employees. 1166 THE ASSAM GAZETTE, EXTRAORDINARY, JUNE 5, 2007 Statues .■ ■ ■■■ • 26 (c) incurring expenditure on any developmental work from the fund received from the Government or University Grants Commission or any person or body tor any purpose other than that for which the fund has been received.
