The Government shall, as soon as possible, take steps for the constitution of an Interim Sonowal Kachari Executive Council by nomination until the General Co1mcil is constituted under this Act, The interim Executive Council shall, in addition, look after the duties of the Village councils till the same are constituted under this . Act.
