In section 10 of the principal Act, ( l) in sub- of ~[cJ:~~~o section ( 1), lhe following Explanation shall be inserted Act XXIV at the en.l, namely: - of 1960. "Explanation.-'Sk.illed L:tbour' for the purpme of this section ~hall include any Shramik or Shramik Bahini having special knowledge in any particular project, undertaking, work or contract of the State Government or any other Statutory body or Local Authority." (2) For sub-section (2J, the following shall be substi- tuted, namely:- "(2) The appropriate authority may, as and when considered necessary, allot works of any kind the value of which does not exceed Rupees fifty thousand only to a Shramik B<lhini for execution without calling for tender at e>timated rate on receipt or an application from a Registered Sbrami k Babin\. In case where tenders are invited the wo• ks may be allotted to Shra- mik Bahini at the lowest accepted 'tender rate'." Amfend•
