(1) Whoever contravenes any of thE pro- visions of Sections 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13, 14, 18, 21 and 22 shall, on conviction be punishable with fine, which for a first offence may extend to two hundred and fifty rupees and for a second or any subsequent offence may extend to five hundred rupees. (2) Whoever contravenes any of the pro- vi.sions of Sections 7, 19, 20,- 28 and 30 shall, on conviction, be punishable with fine which may e~t end to fifty rupees. (3) No court .shall take cogni:,o;ance of any offence puni1:ihablc under this Act or any rule or order made thereunder unless the complaint is made- Act XLV of 1860. li (a) by the employee of an establishment either by himself or through the Union of which he is a :nember within three months from the date on which the offence is alleged to have been committed ; or (b) by the Inspection within ii.x months from the date on which the alleiled offence comes to his know- ledge. (4) No Court inferior to that of judicial Magistrate of the first class shall try any offence. punishable under this Act or any rules or orderi made thereunder.
