(1) The Legislative Assembly may make rules for regulating, subject to the provisions of this Act, its procedure and the conduct of its business including the language or languages to be used in the Legislative Assembly. (2) Until rules are made under sub-section (1) , the rules of procedure and standing orders with respect to the Legislative Assembly of the State of Assam in force immediately before the commencement of this Act shall have effect in relation to the Legislative Assembly subject to such modifications and adaptations as may be made therein by the Governor.
