(1) The Superintendent shall place under the observation of the . Medical Officer and, if avaiiable, a , . Psychiatrist, any inm~te appearing to become of unsound mind, and shall, if such inmate is an undertrial inmate, report th.e case to the Court by whose warrant or order such inmate is committed to prison. . .
