(1) For furthering the advancement of learning and the Pragjyotishpur prosecution of higher education and research, University there shall be established a Private University under the name and style - “Pragjyotishpur University” in the State of Assam. (2) The details regarding name, location, jurisdiction and infrastructure of the said University are mentioned in the Schedule appended to this Act.
