The State Government may in consultation with the Director General of Police of the State, may by notification declare any area within the State to be a Police District. The administration of the Police throughout such district shall vest in the 8 Superintendent of Police who may be assisted by as many Additional, Assistant or Deputy Superintendents, as deemed necessary and are notified.
