The Criminal Investigation Department of the State, shall take up investigation investigation of such crimes of inter-state, inter-district or of otherwise serious nature, as notified by the State Government from time to time, and as may be specifically entrusted to it by the Director General of Police of the State in accordance with the prescribed procedures and norms.
