If any difficulty arises in giving effect to the provisions of this remove difficulties Act the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, make such provisions as it deems necessary or expedient for removing the difficulty. Repeal and Saving 117. (1) The Police Act ,1861 (Act V of 1861), in its application to the State of Assam, is hereby repealed . (2) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or purported to be done or any action taken or instituted under the Act so repealed and the ndes made there under shall, be deemed to have been validly done or taken under the corresponding provisions of this Act. (3) AH references in any enactments to any of the provisions of the Act so repealed shall be construed reference to the provisions of this Act. MOHD. A.
