Notwithstanding anything in the of nominated . . M em be rs/prmcipal Act or the rules framed there- Councillors. under, the Councillor or Councillors nominated under clause (d) of sub-section (1) of Section 20 of the principal Act to a Mohkuma Parishad from tea garden areas and the member nominated to a Gaon Panchayat under clause (e) of sub- section (1) of Section 9 from the adjacent tea garden areas of the Gaon Panchayat shall continue to be such ·councillor or Member as the case may be, till the expiry of the current term of the Moh- kuma Pari'shad or Gaon Panchayat.
