(1) The Assam Panchayat (Amendm ent) Ordi- Am*™ O*- nance, 1970 is hereby repealed. kf*v}70 (2) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken under the Assam Panchayat (Amendm ent) Ordinance, 1970 shall be deemed to have been done or taken under this Act as if this Act had commenced on the twenty-sixth day of September, 1970 (the date of prom ulgation of the Ordinance).
