(1) the words “except Gaon Panchayat Secretaries” occurring between the words “ employees” and “ appointed” and the word “ First” occurring between he word “Panchayat” and bracket and word “ (Amend ment)” shall be .deleted ; 7 / 3 (2) the punctuation "full-stop (.)” occurring a t the end shall be substituted by the punctuation "colon (:) ” and thereafter the following proviso shall be added, name ly:— "Provided further tha t all the Gaon Panchayat Secre taries appointed by the State Government after th e date of coming into force of the Assam Panchyat (Amend- Assam Act ment) Act, 1964 shall be deemed to have been appoin- \ ted by the Mahkuma Parishad under this Act.”
