In the principal Act, in Section of section 65, in Sub-Section (1). in clause (i)— (i) in the second proviso, for the punc­ tuation mark full-stop occuring at the end of the last line, the punctuation mark colon **• shall be substituted. (ii) after the second proviso, the following new proviso shall be inserted, namely :— ‘‘Provided further more that the Legislative Assembly Constituency which has urban population, included in a Muni­ cipality or a Municipal Corporation, as the case may be or under THE ASSAM GAZETTE, EXTRAORDINARY, SEP. 1997 15,2307 the authority of Town Committee or Sani­ tary Board or Cantonment area or any notified area deemed to be urban area under any law for the time being in force, may have less than four territorial cons­ tituencies and if the rural population of this Legislative Assembly Constituency is less than thirty thousand, this may form a territoral constituency.” IVI.
