(1) The election to constitute a Gaon Panchayat shall be com pleted:— (a) before the expiration of its duration specified in Section (7). Rese r v a- tlon of Seat» of G a o n Panchayat. 602 THE ASSAM GAZETTE, EXTRAORDINARY MAY 6, 1994 i&dashad-Bih li' .V ' ■ 1 ’> (b) in case of dissolution, before the expiratf®n of a period of six months from the date cf its dissolution: Provided that wMre the reminder of the period for which the dissolved Gaon Panchayat would have continued is less than six months, it shall not be necessary to hold any election under this sub-section for constituting the G e on Panchayat for such period. \ (2) Gaon Panchayat constituted upon the dissolution of a Gaon Panchayat before the expiration of its duration shall continue only for reminder of the period for which the dissolved Gaon Panchayat would' have continued under Section-(7) had it ne t been so dissolved.
