Short title, extent and comtnencement. - (1) This Act may be. called the Assam Excise Amendment (Extension to Garo Hills, Mikir Hills and North Cachar Hills Districts) Act, 1954. (2) It shall extend to the said Districts subject to noti6cation under clause (a) of sub-paragraph (1) of paragraph 12 of the Sixth Schedule to the Constitution by the respective District Councils of the said Districts. (3) It shall come into force at 0P1ce.
