(1) The Chief Justice of the Guwahati High Court (High Court of Assam, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh) shall be the 2[Chancellor] of the 1[Law University] and in his absence, the acting Chief justice of Guwahati High Court shall discharge the functions of the 2[Chancellor.]
