In the principal Act, in section 53, after sub-section (2), the following new sub-section(3) shall be inserted, namely:- “(3), (i) Every order or instrument of the Municipal Board or the Town Committee shall be expressed to be made in the name of the Municipal Board or the Town Committee concerned, as the case may be. (ii) Save in cases where an Officer has been specifically empowered to sign an order or an instrument of the Municipal Board or the Town Committee, every order or instrument shall be signed by the Executive Officer with approval of the Chairman, Municipal Board/Town Committee and such signature shall be deemed to be proper authentication of such order. (iii) The Executive Officer shall sign any Notification of the Municipal Board or Town Committee on behalf of the Municipal Board or Town Committee with approval of the Chairman, Municipal Board/Town Committee for publication in the Official Gazette.” S.
