A member of the Executive Council shall hold office until he -- (a) ceases to be a member of the General Council, or (b) resigns his office in writing under his hand addressed to the Chief Execu- tive Councillor in which case the resignation shall take effect from the date of accep- tance thereof : THE ASSAM GAZETTE.
