There shall be paid to the Ministers and the Leader of the Opposition, the allowances in connection with their duties as mentioned in the Schedule: Provided that the Sitting Allowance shall not be admissible if the Minister or the Leader of the Opposition performs the official tour within the State of Assam or outside the State of Assam and halts during the period of the Session of the Assam Legislative Assembly. The Ministers and the Leader of the Opposition shall be entitled to,- Amenities (a) while 011. tour on public business within the State of Assam as well as outside the State, to travelling allowance as may be prescribed; (b) for journeys performed in connection with medical treatment, to travelling allowances as may be prescribed.
