Section 3 In the principal Act, in section 3,- (i) in sub-section (1),- (a) in clause (a), in the second line, the word "three" shall be deleted, (b) in clause (b), for the words "concerned University of that College", the words "Srimanta Sankardeva University of Health Sciences" shall be substituted. (c) for clause (d), the following shall be substituted, namely:- "(d) three members who are Registered Medical Practitioners with the Council are to be nominated by the State Branch of the Indian Medical Association and out of them one member shall be woman." (ii) sub-section (2) and (3) shall be deleted and the existing sub-sections (4), (5) and (6) shall be re-numbered respectively as sub-sections (2), (3) and (4). (iii) in sub-section (4) as re-numbered under sub-clause (ii) above, after the word "Council" appearing at the end, the words "subject to maintaining a quorum of 2/3rd members in the meeting" shall be inserted.
