A~nendJDent of section 2 of Regulation III of 1879.-In section 2 of the said Regulation for clause (b) of sub-section (5) thl"' following shall be substi- tuted, namely- "(b) Where such land is situate in any place other than the permanently settled portions of Cachar and Goal para and the same is not liable to be periodi- cally re-settled but is liable to be ptriodically re-assessed at li.1ll rates, the land revenue for the time being assessed on such land ; " .
