(1) The State Government may, by notification in the official Gazette, constitute for the State and for such period as it may deem fit, a State Prohibition Council consisting of two or more non-official residents of the State as may be prescribed by the State Govern ment. The State Government may also, by like notification, dissolve or reconstitute any such Council. Price—’05 2 (2) The State Pro hibitio n Council may, by notification in the official Gazette, constitute for a district or pa rt there of and for such period as it may deem fit, Prohibition Committees consisting of two or more non-official residents of the district. The State Prohibition Council may also, by like notification, dissolve or recons titute such prohibition Committees. (3) For the purposes of Sections 10 and 11 of the Act, the State Government may, by notification in the official Gazette, appoint any member of a Prohibition Committee by virtue of office or otherwise to be a Prohi bition Officer and the relation of officers so appointed to the State Prohibition Council shall be such as may be prescribed. (4) The duties to be performed by the State Prohibition Council and Pro hibition Committees and the relation between the Council and the Com mittees and the relation of such Committees to the Council shall be such as may be prescribed.
