In .Section 4 of the principal Act,- { i) in sub-section (3), for the words "two hun- dred rupees per mensem", the words "four hundred rupees per mensem"; shaJl bi; substi- tuted; THE ASSAM GAZETTE EXTRAORDINARY, MAY. 5, 1979 ;43 (ii) the full-stop after existing sub-section (3) shall be substituted by a '' : " and thereafter the following shall be added as a proviso thereto, namely :- "Ptovided \that a Member may, if he so desires, forego either in full or in part his fixed travelling allowance for any period and in the manner prescribed by rules made under this Act".
