In the principal Regulation, in section 48, after sub-section (2), the following new sub-sections shall be inserted, namely :- "(3) Registers mentioned in sub-section (1) may also be prepared and kept by means of Computer system in the manner prescribed by the State Government, in addition to the other mode as mentioned in this chapter. (4) The Registers mentioned under sub-section (1) may be prepared and kept in computer floppies or diskettes or in any other electronic form in the manner and subject to the safeguards as may be prescribed by the State Government from time to time, in addition to the other mode as mentioned in this chapter. (5) Registers prepared and maintained by means of Computer system shall have the same validity as those prepared and maintained manually under the provisions of the principal Regulation. (6) Copies of the Registers mentioned in sub-section (1) may also be kept in the concerned Office of the Sub- Divisional Officer (Civil) as well as in the concerned Revenue Circle Offices where land records are maintained in computerised form, in addition to the office of the Deputy Commissioner of every district.
