(1) Any member of the General Council may, at any Lime by givi11g noticr>, in writing addressed to the Chief Ex- i~Ct1tivc Councillor, resign his office: Provided that in case of the Chief Executive Council- lor, the notice shall be addressed to any of the Executive Councillors. (2) Such resignation shal! take effect fr~1m such date as specified in the :1oticc or if no such date is specified, from the date of its receipt by tile office bearer addressed.
