A member of the Executive Council shall hold of- fice untill he - (a) ceases to be a member of the General Council, or (b) resigns his office in writing under his hand ad- dressed to the Chief Executive Councillor in which case the resignation shall take effect from the date of acceptance thereof : Provided that in case of the Chief Executive Collncil- lor, the resignation shall be addressed to any one of the Ex· ccu ti ve Councillors.
