The Academic Council shall consist of the following members, namely;- (1) the Vice-Chancellor; (2) the Rector; (3) all Professors and Heads of Departments of the University departments and Principals of the Constituent Colleges; (4) the Principals of the Institute and affiliated Sanskrit Colleges lying within the territorial limits of the University; (5) six Professors nominated by the Vice-Chancellor from the professional Colleges to be specified by the Statutes; (6) six persons, who may or may not be teachers, nominated by the Vice- Chancellor; (7) the Director of Higher Education, Assam; (8) the Director of Secondary Education, Assam; (9) one Education Officer of the Board of Secondary Education, Assam, to be nominated by the Chairman of the aforesaid Board; (10) the Director of Technical Education, Assam.
