SEPT. 2% 19c 0 (a) require any person, having the possession, custody or contract of any register or record of the undertaking of the Company, to produce such register or record before the Commissioner; (b) require any person to make any statement or furnish any information which may be required by the Commissioner. Assumption 27 (1) Where any liability of the Company rgeTiiaWiUy. a r ising out of any item specified in the category-I of the Schedule is not discharged fully by the Commissioner out of the amounts paid to him under this Act, the Commissioner shall intimate in writing to the State Government to the extent of the lia­ bility which remains undischarged and that liability shall be assumed by the State Government. (2) The State Government may, by order, direct the Government Company to take over the liability * assumed by the State Government under sub­ section (1) and on receipt of such direction, it shall be the duty of the Government Company to discharge such liability.
