(1) All posts ofJagganath BancA College (Autonomous), including the vacant posts, shall be &ansfernd immediately to the Ja8annat:h Bwooah Univusity with effect from the date of commencement of this Act Further, Bow posts shall be created as pu nwinment with the approval of the Gov©nmeat. The existing twdhin8 staff of Jagannattr Barooah College (Autonomous) quaHfied to teach in the University shall bnarne teaaring staff of the Jag#nnath Ba©oah Univ@sig as per the transitory provision of this Act. The unqualified teaohing staff, if any, may be transfelled to nearby colleges. For Associate Pmfessor$ who wish to be promoted to Professors, they must go through the pR>per wl®don of Professorship, as per UniversiEy Grant Commission (UGC) BrideHnes applicable, for appointment of Professors in a University and not through Career Advancement Scheme (CAS). They shall be considered as fresh appoinuwnt s, and sewiw rules applicable for University IWDfesson at the time of appointment shall be cm$idewd. Pension matters of all existing teaching and non-teaching stafF of Jagannath Barooah College (Autonomous) under both Old Pension Scheme (OPS) and New Pqsiolr Scheme (NPS), as the case may be, shall be protected and carried over under the financial jurisdiction of Jagarma fh Barooah University, For pensions, the window for opting for the route of Accountant General, Governmart of A sum or Jagannath Barooah University will remain open for up to two years; aaer drat period Jagamath Batx>oak University shall be responsible for the payment of pensions. Howev% if any Associate Pnfessor is selected as per University Grant Comrnission (UGC) Widelines for the University, he shall be 8)vemec! by the service condidm of the Univusity. The age of superannuation of Professors shall be as per UniversitY GIant Commission (UGC) harms. Froin the dah of commencement of the J8g,annath Barooah University Act, the Governing Body of the existing Jagannath Barooah College (Autonomous) shall cease to exist and the Executive Couaoil under swtion 28 and other statutory bodies, formed under section 24 of Jagannath Barooah UniversitY Act, shall nrnction as the executive body of the University, The Chancellor shall, within three months from the date of the oomrnencelnent of this Act, shall appoinC on such @mrs and conditions as he deems et, a person to be the ViwChancenor. For this purpose, he may constitute an AdvisoIY Board as per UnivwsitY Grant Commission (UGC) guidelines. (14) The existIng Councils and Boards of the Ja©math Barooah College (Autonomous) shall remain functional till the formation of the same by the Vice-Chancellor. The first appointment 58. of RegisBar Notwithstanding anything contained in this Act, the pwseat Principal of the College shall hold the post/position of Registnr or any oth© uademic / administrative post deemed appropriate to the rank status and qualification of the incumbent. + $ Appoinbrmt of Teachers 59, (1) The teachers of the University may be appointbd by the Executive Council after considering the ncommardations of a Selection Committee consisting of the Viw£hancellor and such other person or pasons as per rules and regulations of the Uaivenity. (2) The seniority of the teachers in the integrated Degree and Post- Graduate course shall be maintained as pw norm& (3) The hmd8hip in the Department shall rotate every two years among t:how who are eligible for it The University shall not create any post without prior approval of the State Government.
