The functions of the finance Cornmitteo shall be as follows:– (i) to examine the annual budget '®timates and to give advice mId suggestion to the Executive Council thereon; (ii) to make Mommendations to the Execwdve Council relating to the finances of the Unjwnity; to examine everY WNosal R>r new expenditures involving a sum of monqf exceeding rupees one lakh and to advise the Executive Council thereon; (iii) (iV) (V) to review the 6nancial position’of the University periodically; to suggest, in general, the mans for the improvement of the financial position of the University; to review grades of pay for all staff of the UniversiEy so that dey conform to the State Government rules and policies and nport to dIe Executive Council; (Vi) (vii) to deal with such other matters relating to the financial matters of the University, as may tn prescribed by dw Statutes md Ordinances. 6530 THE ASSAM GAZETTE, EXrRAORDB{ARE DECEMBER 12, 2023 (viii)
