(1) The provisions of this Act shall be in addition to, and not in derogation of, the provisions in any other law for the time being in force, relating to inland waterways, forests, wildlife, disaster management or environment protection. (2) The functions of the Regulatory Authority are to be enabled by the Act in conjunction with Inland Vessels Act, 1917, Indian Ports Act, 1908 and the Inland Waterways Authority of India Act, 1985.
