Short title, exten t and co mmen cemen t.— (1) This Act may be called the Industrial Disputes (Appellate Tribunal) (Extension to the Assam Autonomous Districts) Act, 1956. (2) It shall extend to the Autonomous Districts referred to in Part A of the Schedule appended to paragraph 20 of the Sixth Schedule to the Constitution of India , hereinafter referred to as “ the said areas” . (3) This Act shall come into force on such date as the State Govern ment appoint in that behalf.
