For Section 4 o f the principal Act, the following c f ^ a m Act s h a 1 1 b e substituted, name ly:— X I of 1955. ‘Form ation 4, (i) Each subsequent Board shall function for sutee^uent^ a Pe r‘°^ °f three years from the d ate of the first meet- Ik>ard^UC *n g the Board constituted as under sub-section (2) of Section 3 and the manner of election and nom ina­ tion of the members of th e Board shall be such as may be prescribed. (2) The period of three years referred to in sub-section (3) of Section 3 and sub-section (1) of this section shall include and shall be deemed always to have included any period which may elapse between the expiry of the said three years and the date of the first meeting of the subsequent Btard: Provided that such subsequent Board shall sit within forty-five days from the day of its constitution. (3) Th e State Government may, by notifica­ tion, for sufficient cause to be stated therein , direct, from time to time, that the term of the Board be extended by such period not exceeding one year at a time, as may be specified in the notification, provided that the total period of such extension shall not exceed two years” .
