. (2) It extends to the whole of Assam. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by noti- fication in the Official Gazette appoint. (4) From the date on which this Act comes .into force, the Gauhati University or the Dibrugarh University or any other University or any Board of Education shall cease to exercise its juiisdiction over the institutions imparting Higher Secondary Education or P.U.
