(1) If the Government is satisfied that the purposes, for which the Board was established under this Act have been substantially achieved, or that the Board is unable to achieve such purposes, and if the continued existence of the Board is, in the opinion of the Government, unnecessary, the Government may, by notification, dissolve the Board with effect from such date as may be specified in the notification and the Board shall stand dissolved accordingly. 424 THE.ASSAM GAZETTE, EXTRAORDINARY, FEBRUARY 28, 2009 (2) From the date of dissolution specified under sub-section (1 ),- (a) all the properties, funds and dues which are vested in, or realizable by, the Board shall vest in, or shall be realizable by, the Government; (b) all liabilities which are enforceable against the Board shall be enforceable against the Government; (3) From the date of dissolution specified under sub-section (1) the functions of the Board shall be discharged in such manner as the Government may specify.
