(3) Where a pa rt of a revenue village has been registered as a separate revenue village under sub­ section (2), the Deputy Commissioner or the Subdivi- sional Officer, as the case may be, shall also cause the common lands in the original village to be divided by metes and bounds and apportioned between the two revenue villages.
