(1) The Gauhati Municipal Corporation (Amendment) Ordinance, 1988 (Assam ■ Ordinance No. II of 1988) is hereby repealed- (2) Net withstanding such repeal any order passed, notification issued, anything done or any action taken under the ' Ordinance so repealed, shall be deemed ' to have been passed, issued, done or >■’ taken under the corresponding provi- sions of the principal Act as amended by this Act.
