In this chapter unless there is anything repugnant in the context— (a'' “costs” mean all costs, charges and expenses of or incidental to the trial of an election petition; (b) “corrupt practice” means any of the practices so defined in the Represen tation of Peoples’ Act, 1951 as amended from time to tim e; (c) “election” means an election held under the provisions of this Act or of any rules made thereunder ; and (d) “advocate” means any person entitled to appear and plead for another in a Civil Court and includes a Pleader, a vakil and an Attorney of High Court.
