(1) The Chairman, the Deputy Chairman or any deputy other members of the Standing Committee may, at and members a n V t*m e > resign his office by writing under his hand of Standing addressed to the Mayor. (2) A resignation under sub-section (1) shall take effect from the date specified for the purpose in writing referred to in that sub-section, or if no such date is specified, from the date of its receipt by the Mayor as the case may be.
