(1) The Chairman or Deputy Chairman of ancT'oeputy a Standing Committee shall hold office from the time Chairman. of his election until the election of his successor in office unless in the meantime he resigns his office as Chairman or Deputy Chairman or his term of office as member of the Standing Committee is in any manner terminated. (2) An outgoing Chairman or Deputy Ghairman shall be eligible for re-election. (3) On the occurrence of any vacancy in * the office of the Chairman or Deputy Ghairman a Stand ing Committee shall at the meeting next after the occurrence of such vacancy elect one of its members as Chairman or Deputy Chairman as the case may be.
