(1) Whenever the Commissioner is unaoic whenimme-to acquire any immovable property by agreement va le Pre‘ under section 102, the Government may, in its discre- V not be tion, upon the app’ication of the Commissioner, made acquired by with the approval of the Standing Committee and agreement, subject to the other provisions of this Act, order pro­ ceedings to be taken for acquiring the same on behalf of the Corporation, as if such property were land needed for a public purpose within the meaning of the Land Acquision Act of 1894. (2) The amount of compensation awaidcd and all other charges incurred in the acquisition of any such property shall, subject to ail other provisions of j his Act, be paid by the Corporation.
