Pro hib itio n C om m itte es. —(I) The Commissioner, may by notifi cation in Official Gazette, constitute for any area or any pa rt thereof a “Prohibition Com mittee” consisting in such proportion as the Commissioner may deem fit of two or more official and non-official residents of such area or part thereof. He may also, by like notification dissolve or reconstitute any such committee. (2) The duties to be performed by a Prohibition Committee and its relation to other such Committees and to the Commissioner shall be such as may be prescribed. 6 (3) The members of the Prohibition Comm ittee shall be designated Prohibition Officers.
